SUMMARY:Bitchin Bajas
LOCATION:The Goat Farm\, 1200 Foster St NW\, Atlanta
DESCRIPTION:Speakeasy and Commune present: Bitchin’ Bajas at Warhorse.
\n\nThe next album from Bitchin Bajas — the trio of Cooper Crain\, R
ob Frye and Daniel Quinlivan — is near! The successor to 2022’s Baja
scillators glides easily into frame\, but once there\, Inland See is dec
eptively immediate: four songs\, entirely within themselves\, all togeth
er forming an essential whole. Inland Seeis outSeptember 26. The lead si
ngle "Skylarking" is out now with a new visualizer featuring visuals by
Nick Ciontea.\n\nWith every successive Bitchin Bajas release\, we see th
at the real key for them is a sense of discovery\, that tingle that come
s when you feel something breaking through. The sky opening up. Take "Sk
ylarking": a remarkable construction\, built to and fro in the ether\, b
ut with a deceptive grasp of four-on-the-floor rhythm. It showcases jewe
ls from their world music and jazz archives\, then returns to their undu
lous source drone\, riding smoothly back into silence. The stuff that fi
lls this Inland See holds you up powerfully\, as if you’re floating\,
 saltwater or helium-wise — effervescent\, effortless\, elemental. \n\n
