Atlanta officials have ignored our voices for too long—but we refuse to be silenced. When those in power deny us a seat at the table, we build our own. The People’s Movement Assembly is a space for our communities to come together, define public safety on our own terms, and take bold action to hold corrupt politicians accountable. This is bigger than just one city—it’s about standing up to a system that prioritizes profits and police expansion over people’s lives.
Through collective visioning and grassroots organizing, we will create community governance agreements, build powerful relationships, and mobilize to reclaim our democracy. This is about more than resistance—it’s about building the future we deserve. We are not asking for power. We are taking it back. Now is the time to show up, speak out, and take action. Join us in shaping the movement and fighting for a city that truly represents its people!
WHY THIS EVENT?
“Great way to learn about projects and efforts you might want to join or support, or connecting with folks who may want to work together toward a common goal (recent topics have included prison abolition, environmental justice, food sovereignty, immigrant rights, housing justice and more)! Lunch is provided and childcare is available. Signup in advance is not necessary but does help with planning.”
