Join Posy Press for the first Leaflet event spotlighting three Atlanta-based women whose work cultivates community through risograph printing. Through an artist talk, a moderated panel, and a live printing demo, this event will share the community-driven spirit of RISO.
What is Riso? Risograph is retro Japanese office equipment that has been repurposed by artists globally to make vibrant independent print editions (think screenprinting in a photocopier).
Samantha Richardson is an Atlanta-based designer, RISO printer, and founder of Posy Press, a community-centered print studio at the Goat Farm. Her practice spans printmaking, publishing, workshops, and collaborative programming, using RISO as a tool for bringing artists together around accessible making, experimentation, and creative exchange.
Roxy Urquiza Flores, aka Cranity, is a SCAD Illustration graduate, professional illustrator, and independent printmaker. Her clients include IDW, Team Liquid, and Raw Fury, with work created for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Five Nights at Freddy's.
Arantza Peña Popo is an illustrator, zinester and Ignatz Award-Nominated cartoonist based in Atlanta. She is a risograph technician and arts educator at Posy Press at the Goat Farm and at Atlanta Printmakers Studio.
This event was made possible with support from the Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs and Goat Farm.
